Dr. Fred Meeks

Interim Pastor

A native of Dallas Texas, was the director of the Logsdon Seminary Lubbock Program, from April 2010 to October 2018. Prior to that he taught courses in Bible, Theology, and Christian Ministry for twenty-one years at Wayland Baptist University. He also held the position of Chair (now Dean) of the Division(now School) of Religion and Philosophy at Wayland (Now called School of Christian Studies). He Spent almost 25 years serving as pastor of churches in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Oregon. After becoming a professor and university administrator he served as interim pastor of 37 churches., Dr. Meeks is a Certified Intentional Interim, Minister of the Texas Baptist Convention. He and his wife Sally have two daughters, Marnie and Merdith.
